The weather forecast for the holiday weekend has been published in Northern Cyprus

The TRNC Meteorology Department has released the weather forecast for the upcoming New Year's weekends - from December 27 to January 1. It is expected that the maximum air temperature will be 19-22 degrees.

According to meteorologists, today, December 29, is expected to be partly cloudy with morning fog. Tomorrow, December 30, a slight cloudiness is forecasted. On the last day of the outgoing year and the first day of the new year, variable cloudiness is expected.

Throughout the festive days, the region will be under the influence of a high-pressure system and a cool and humid air mass. The wind will predominantly blow from the north and east with moderate force.

On Friday, December 29, the maximum air temperature will be 23°C, which is 2-4°C above the seasonal climatic norm.

As of today, there are no active weather warnings from meteorologists in Northern Cyprus.

North Coast: Kyrenia – 22°C, Lapta – 20°C, Akdeniz - 21°C, Alevkaya - 18°C, Esentepe - 19°C.

West Coast: Lefke – 21°C, Güzelyurt - 23°C.

Central Part: Nicosia - 22°C, Ercan - 22°C.

East Coast: Famagusta - 23°C, Iskele - 22°C.

Karpas: Yenierenkoy – 20°C.
