TRNC Parliament Approves Budgets for the President and Republican Assembly
The TRNC Parliament has approved the 2025 budgets for the President and the Republican Assembly as part of a budget marathon that began yesterday.
The budget for the President of Northern Cyprus was passed with a majority vote, totaling 619.5 million Turkish lira.
Likewise, the Republican Assembly’s budget was approved by a majority, amounting to 574.345 million Turkish lira.
During the same session, lawmakers also discussed a proposed supplementary budget for the Free Port and Regional Directorate for the 2024 fiscal year. The session included a review of a related report prepared by the Committee on Economy, Finance, Budget, and Planning.
Following the third reading of the bill, an open vote was held. The proposal passed with a majority of 27 votes in favor and 8 against.
