20 candidates selected for A-Level achievement scholarships in Northern Cyprus

The Department of Higher Education and External Relations has announced a list of 20 TRNC citizen students who are eligible for achievement scholarships (A-Level) for the 2025–2026 academic year. The announcement was made by the department’s director, Behçet Çelebi.
The scholarship is awarded to Turkish Cypriots who, based on their A-Level results, have been admitted to universities in Northern Cyprus, Turkey, or third countries and have applied to the Department. The ranking was formed according to the UMS system, taking into account the total score of the three best-performing subjects.
The published list is currently preliminary — the students listed are considered candidates for the scholarship. Within five working days from the announcement, any student may submit a written, justified, and documented objection to the Department. Late submissions will not be considered.
It is also emphasized that students enrolled in a preparatory course (hazırlık sınıfı) will not receive the scholarship during the preparation period. The Department additionally warns that in cases of intentionally false or misleading information, sanctions will be applied in accordance with Article 9 of the Scholarship Regulation.
In conclusion, Çelebi congratulated the students who will be granted the scholarship following the procedure and wished success to all those continuing their higher education.
