Scheduled power outages in Nicosia districts
Kıb-Tek has announced scheduled power outages in several areas of Nicosia to take place today, September 30, from 09:00 to 15:00. The reason is maintenance work at the Haspolat transformer station.
According to the energy provider, the following areas will be temporarily without electricity:
- Haspolat industrial zone and nearby facilities,
- Levent factory and surrounding area,
- section between the Degirmenlik roundabouts,
- part of the Minareliköy area,
- feed factory and adjacent enterprises,
- rural areas of Degirmenlik,
- certain sections near Ercan Airport.
The company stressed that the outages are scheduled and necessary for servicing and upgrading infrastructure. The works aim to improve the reliability of electricity supply and reduce the risk of future emergency disruptions.
Residents are advised to take the outage schedule into account when planning their day and, if possible, to limit the use of household appliances when power is restored to avoid overloading the network.
