Kervansaray Beach in Kyrenia Now More Comfortable and Accessible
The Kyrenia Municipality has taken steps to make Kervansaray Beach more accessible and welcoming for everyone—regardless of income level. Very soon, the beach will be a relaxing destination that all residents can enjoy.
In a social media post, Kyrenia Mayor Murat Şenkul shared that preparations are underway ahead of the summer season to transform Kervansaray into a well-equipped public beach offering high-quality amenities.
According to Şenkul, the beach has been renovated to improve the overall visitor experience. All outdated infrastructure has been replaced: brand-new showers have been installed, and a sun terrace has been added to the western part of the beach, where guests can also enjoy café services.
“The goal is to create a model public beach that appeals to all segments of society,” the mayor explained. “Thanks to the investments made at Kervansaray ahead of the season, we’ve developed a concept for a public beach that delivers quality services to our residents.”
Starting this year, local vendors will also be given the opportunity to sell their products at the beach. Şenkul believes this move will not only stimulate the local economy but also help turn the beach into a vibrant community hub.
