The largest-ever economic cooperation agreement between the TRNC and Turkey has been signed
In Ankara, the largest Economic and Financial Cooperation Agreement for 2024 between the TRNC and Turkey has been signed. The protocol includes a grant of 16 billion Turkish liras.
The document was signed by the Prime Minister of the TRNC, Unal Ustel, and the Vice President of the Republic of Turkey, Cevdet Yılmaz.
In his statement after signing the agreement, Cevdet Yılmaz emphasized that one of the main goals of the document is to reduce bureaucracy in the TRNC.
“I extend greetings and love to our brothers and sisters in all corners of the TRNC. I sincerely thank everyone who contributed to the preparation of the agreement. We will continue to work for the TRNC to build a strong future,” said the Vice President of Turkey.
During a press conference held after the ceremony at the Presidential Complex of the Republic of Turkey. On behalf of the Turkish Cypriots, Prime Minister of the TRNC Unal Ustel thanked President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoan and Vice President Cevdet Ylmaz. He also thanked everyone who contributed to the preparation of the agreement.
The Prime Minister of the TRNC once again emphasized that this historic agreement, including a grant of approximately 16 billion Turkish liras, is the largest protocol in history.
