TRNC Police holds 428 traffic violators accountable
During road safety checks conducted throughout Northern Cyprus, 428 drivers have been held accountable. Movement was prohibited for 63 vehicles.
According to the TRNC Police press service, a total of 2,329 vehicle drivers were checked during the raids.
242 violators were caught speeding, 42 drivers were talking on their mobile phones while driving, 12 individuals were driving under the influence of alcohol, four were driving without a license and insurance. 74 motorists were held accountable for other offenses.
Legal proceedings have been initiated against the violators.
