The Regulation on the New Minimum Wage in TRNC Published in the Official Gazette
The regulation on the new minimum wage in the TRNC has been published in the Official Gazette. The decision comes into effect on January 1, 2024.
After the official publication of the document in the Official Gazette, a 10-day objection period has commenced.
According to the document, the new minimum wage of 24 thousand Turkish lira is applicable from January 1.
As a reminder, the new minimum wage in Northern Cyprus was approved last week.
During the commission meeting for its determination, five representatives each from the government, trade unions, and employers were present.
The decision was unanimously reached - the minimum wage is set at 24 thousand Turkish lira net and 27,587 Turkish lira gross (after all deductions).
