The family of 20-year-old Münür Ekşi, who died in a traffic accident on July 5, 2024, stated that the investigation and judicial proceedings have still not moved forward. The appeal was made by the young man’s father, Ahmet Ekşi.

According to him, the accident occurred due to a vehicle that, as the family claims, entered the main road without due caution. Ahmet Ekşi emphasizes that nearly a year and a half after the tragedy, the case has still not reached court.

The victim’s father also states that the alleged perpetrator spent only three days in custody after the accident and was then released. At the same time, according to the family, the driver continued his normal life and was able to keep driving — without restrictions and without his driver’s license being confiscated.

The family is asking the competent authorities to explain the reasons for the delays and to speed up the proceedings so that those responsible are held accountable.
