Attempted armed attack on a club in Kyrenia: police arrested three more

The investigation into the attempted armed attack on an entertainment club in Kyrenia continues. Police reported the arrest of three more individuals, bringing the total number of people detained in connection with this incident higher.
The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. when a group of young people, who were denied entry to the venue, got into a conflict with the security staff. During the altercation, one of the suspects pulled a firearm from a car and pointed it at security personnel, threatening to use it.
Police units arrived at the scene. During searches at the home of one of the detainees, firearms, magazines, six bullets, and other evidence related to the case were discovered.
The arrested individuals include men aged 20 to 48, including H.Ö. (25), V.B. (48), M.H.Ö. (32), S.A. (43), A.Y. (38), G.H. (39), F.D. (20), and another A.Y. (28). Three additional individuals were arrested later as part of the expanded investigation.
During the court hearing, police presented surveillance footage, eyewitness testimonies, and confiscated evidence to the court. The court decided to keep some of the suspects in custody for three days to continue investigative actions.
The investigation is ongoing: law enforcement is analyzing video recordings, mobile phone data, and interviewing witnesses to determine motives and possible accomplices.
