TRNC Prime Minister Ünal Üstel visited the construction site of the medical center in Dikmen to review the progress of the works. The visit was attended by Health Minister Hakan Dinçyürek and officials from the relevant department.

During the inspection, Üstel emphasized that building medical centers across the country — from Dipkarpaz to Yeşilırmak — is part of a strategy to improve the healthcare system. He noted that Dikmen is developing rapidly, and the growing population requires expanded medical infrastructure.

The new center is planned to serve not only the residents of Dikmen but also nearby settlements. Authorities expect to open the facility by the end of the year.

Üstel noted that 2025 was the year of laying the foundations for healthcare reforms, while 2026 should be the period for opening new medical facilities for the public. He also added that the government's priority remains real projects and national development, not elections.

Health Minister Hakan Dinçyürek reported that the project has been in progress for about a year; following the design phase, funding was secured and a tender was announced. He stressed that the new medical facilities will be equipped with modern technology and staffing will be reinforced.

According to the project, the medical center covering approximately 700 square meters will include doctors' offices, a dentist, a laboratory, a pharmacy, a dressing station, an ECG room, an observation area, medicine storage, and an ambulance station.

Local administration representatives noted that residents have long needed such a facility and view the progress of the works positively.
