Prime Minister Yunal Yustel Inspects Kurudere Intersection and Orders Safety Improvements
On September 10, Prime Minister Yunal Yustel conducted an on-site inspection at the Kurudere intersection together with Minister of Public Works and Transport Erhan Arıklı and announced plans to update and reconfigure the interchange to enhance road safety.
According to Yunal Yustel, work will be carried out to restore and organize the road infrastructure; necessary instructions have been given, and the work will begin shortly. The Prime Minister emphasized that the goal is to ensure safe and comfortable travel for residents of all districts. The statement noted that numerous accidents have occurred at this location in recent years, and the authorities are aware of the inconvenience caused.
Specific timelines and the list of works have not been officially disclosed; the inspection was conducted to assess possible measures on site. For residents of Northern Cyprus, this means that in the coming weeks there may be traffic restrictions or temporary detours in the Kurudere area, as well as increased monitoring of road conditions.
