Tatar was accompanied by Yenierenköy’s muhtar, Safiye Mimar Sayar. The recovery efforts are being carried out in coordination with the İskele District Governor’s Office, the Yenierenköy-Karpaz Municipality, the police, civil defense teams, and local authorities.
Technical teams from the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Livestock, and the Agricultural Insurance Fund have already started assessing the extent of the damage. The president expressed his support for those affected, wishing them a speedy recovery.
The severe hailstorm struck the region on Wednesday night, causing widespread damage, particularly in the villages of Yenierenköy, Yeşilköy, Sipahi, and Adaçay in the İskele district.
Several roads were temporarily closed due to the storm’s impact, and authorities continue to evaluate the full extent of the damage.
