President of the TRNC Travels to Kyrgyzstan
Ersin Tatar, the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), has departed the island to participate in the 11th summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Turkic States Organization, set to take place in Kyrgyzstan.
At Ercan Airport, Tatar was seen off by Ziya Öztürkler, the Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic, and Özdemir Berova, the Minister of Finance.
During Tatar's absence, Ziya Öztürkler will take on the role of acting president of the TRNC.
It's important to note that the 11th Summit of the Turkic States Organization will be held on November 6 in Bishkek.
The theme of this year’s summit is "Strengthening the Turkic World: Economic Integration, Sustainable Development, Digital Future, and Security for All." Leaders will discuss the advancement of multilateral cooperation within the organization.
The summit will see the participation of leaders from five member states: the Republic of Turkey, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, and the Republic of Uzbekistan, along with leaders from observer countries.
At the conclusion of the summit, the presidency of the Turkic States Organization will be handed over to the Kyrgyz Republic for the year 2025.
