President of the TRNC Returns from Kyrgyzstan
The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ersin Tatar, has returned to the island from Kyrgyzstan, where he attended the 11th Summit of the Turkic Council. Upon his arrival at Ercan Airport, the President held a press conference.
President Tatar expressed his pleasure in representing the TRNC at the summit as an honorary guest of Kyrgyzstan's President, Sadyr Japarov. He also emphasized the importance of the support the TRNC receives from the Turkic Council for its just cause.
During the summit, Tatar reminded the participants of the TRNC's significant potential in safeguarding the rights and laws of the Turkic world in the Eastern Mediterranean.
“We have the capacity to make a major contribution to the Turkic world with the substantial transformations that will take place here in the future,” said Tatar.
It’s worth noting that the 11th Turkic Council Summit was held in Bishkek on November 6, with the theme “Strengthening the Turkic World: Economic Integration, Sustainable Development, Digital Future, and Security for All.”
The summit saw the participation of the heads of state from the five member countries of the organization—Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan—as well as leaders from observer countries, including TRNC President Ersin Tatar.
