President of TRNC Warns About Forest Fires During Morning Stroll
This morning, President of the TRNC, Ersin Tatar, went for a walk with Ilkay Iilseven, former director of the Forestry Department. During their stroll, the head of Northern Cyprus discussed the risks of forest fires.
According to the leader of the Turkish Cypriots, he and the former department head discussed the necessity to strengthen measures for preventing fires to the maximum extent.
"We met with Ilkay Iilseven, one of the former directors of our forestry department, during a morning walk in Ozanköy. We talked about the need to bolster measures to the maximum level to prevent potential forest fires as temperatures rise," wrote Ersin Tatar on his social media page.
It's worth noting that from May 1st to October 31st, a ban on bonfires is in effect in Northern Cyprus.
