President of TRNC Extends Condolences to Family of Soldier Killed in Traffic Accident
The President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of the soldier who tragically died this morning in a traffic accident in Northern Cyprus. The President also wished a swift recovery to the other 11 individuals injured in the crash.
"I wish a speedy recovery to our injured brothers, may God grant mercy to our fallen soldier, and I extend my deepest sympathies to his grieving family, the Turkish Armed Forces, and the Turkish people," the President stated in his address.
The severe accident occurred today around 09:00 on the main road between Güzelyurt and Akçay. The overturning of a military jeep resulted in injuries to 12 soldiers, all of whom were taken to medical facilities. One of the injured has unfortunately passed away. The identity of the deceased soldier has not yet been disclosed by the police.
