Turkish President to Inaugurate New Presidential Campus in the TRNC
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is set to visit the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to officially inaugurate the newly completed Presidential Campus and Parliament Building.
Ahead of the opening, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz visited the site to inspect the nearly finished facilities.
“These remarkable structures, soon to be at the service of Turkish Cypriots in honor of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will stand as symbols of the TRNC’s sovereignty and our shared future,” Yılmaz stated.
He expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the project and hoped the new buildings would serve the TRNC Assembly and Presidency for years to come.
Yılmaz also confirmed that President Erdoğan will personally inaugurate the complex in the near future.
Following his visit, the Vice President departed the island.
For now, no official date has been announced for the inauguration or Erdoğan’s visit.
However, local media previously reported that the Turkish President is expected to visit Northern Cyprus in mid-February.
