The President of Türkiye congratulated the TRNC on the 40th anniversary of the foundation

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan sent congratulations to the head of Northern Cyprus Ersin Tatar on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the founding of the TRNC.
  
“On behalf of the Turkish Republic, I sincerely congratulate Your Excellency and the people of the TRNC on the 40th anniversary of the creation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus,” the Turkish leader’s congratulations read.
  
The Turkish President noted that the independence and struggle of the Turkish Cypriots since 1963 and the creation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in 1983 have always remained a source of pride for Türkiye.
  
The Turkish leader also emphasized that, as he has repeatedly said in his speeches at the UN General Assembly over the past two years, the international community must recognize the independence of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and establish diplomatic, political and economic ties with the country.
  
- Undoubtedly, the principle of determination and struggle to defend the state created by Turkish Cypriots is beyond praise. This significant day represents an opportunity to commemorate the TRNC's struggle for independence and freedom. On behalf of myself and your brothers in Türkiye, I congratulate you on the Republic Day on November 15th and wish you a peaceful, secure and prosperous future for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the Turkish Cypriot people,” concluded Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
