TRNC trade unions announce continuation of general strike at parliament
Trade unions of Northern Cyprus have announced the continuation of the general strike and protest actions.
The statement says that the participants of the action will gather at the TRNC Republican Assembly building at 09:00, where the continuation of the protests is planned.
The unions criticize the government formed by the National Unity Party (UBP), the Democratic Party (DP), and the Rebirth Party (YDP), accusing it of ignoring the demands of society and attempting to shift the consequences of the economic crisis onto workers and low-income segments of the population.
It was also stated that the unions intend to continue the protests and call on citizens to join the actions.
