303 Foreigners Granted Permission to Purchase Property in TRNC
The TRNC Council of Ministers has approved property purchases for an additional 303 foreign nationals. This decision has been published in the Official Gazette.
According to the document, “The Council of Ministers, in accordance with Law No. 52/2008 on the Acquisition of Immovable Property and Long-Term Lease (Foreigners), has issued permits allowing a total of 303 foreign citizens to acquire immovable property.”
The permits are granted on the condition that the properties being purchased are free of any encumbrances.
Notably, this time, the document does not specify the nationalities of the foreign citizens granted permission to buy property in Northern Cyprus. Previous similar documents usually included details on how many were Turkish citizens and how many were from third countries.
For context, a similar permit was granted to 174 foreigners at the end of May.
