145 Foreign Nationals Granted Permission to Purchase Property in the TRNC
The TRNC Council of Ministers has approved real estate purchases for an additional 145 foreign nationals, according to the decision published in the Official Gazette.
In the document, it states:
“The Council of Ministers, in accordance with Law No. 52/2008 on the Acquisition of Immovable Property and Long-Term Leasing (Foreigners), has granted permission to a total of 145 foreign citizens to acquire immovable property.”
This approval is conditional upon the properties being free of any encumbrances or legal disputes.
Interestingly, the document does not disclose the nationalities of the foreign nationals who received permission to purchase property in Northern Cyprus. In similar documents from the past, details were often provided, specifying how many of the approved individuals were Turkish citizens and how many came from other countries.
This marks the first such decision made in 2025. By comparison, in December of last year, permission was granted to 350 foreign nationals in a similar announcement.
