Rain and thunderstorms expected from Sunday: temperatures to drop to +15°C

According to the Meteorological Service forecast, the weather on the island will worsen starting Sunday: showers are expected in some areas, and at the beginning of next week — thunderstorms. Air temperature will gradually decrease, and in the second half of the period daytime values will drop to +15…+18°C.
According to the forecast for December 18–24, during the first half of the week the region will be under high pressure, then low pressure and colder, humid air masses will prevail.
- Tomorrow — partly cloudy.
- Friday and Saturday — variable cloudiness, sometimes cloudy.
- Sunday and Monday — occasional short showers.
- Tuesday — occasional rain or thunderstorms.
- Wednesday — precipitation will weaken, variable and cloudy weather will remain.
Winds will mainly be moderate from the north, turning south and east on Sunday and Monday, with occasional stronger gusts.
The Meteorological Service also published precipitation data for the past 24 hours: the most rain fell in Çayırova (3 kg/m²), in Akdoğan, Mehmetçik, and Alayköy — 2 kg/m² each, and in several areas, including Selvilitepe, Alsancak, Gönyeli, Yenierenköy, and Sipahi — about 1 kg/m².
