TRNC Taekwondo Team Returns from South Africa with 14 Medals and Three Trophies
The national taekwondo team of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) has returned from an international competition in South Africa. The team won the championship in the youth category and placed second overall, earning 11 gold medals, three silver medals, and three trophies.

According to the sports federation, the TRNC team secured 14 medals and three trophies during the tournament.
As part of the championship, a three-day seminar was conducted by Master Eyüp Zafer Gekbilen. On the second day of the competition, the color belt contests took place, while the black belt competitions were held on the final day, Thursday, December 5.
The event was officiated by TRNC judges Master Oykü Ergin and Senior Master Ali Uslu, along with referees from other countries.
At the award ceremony following the championship, prizes were presented by GTF President Linda Park and GTF Vice President Eyüp Zafer Gekbilen. The TRNC team received the "Best Team" trophy for their outstanding performance.
The host team from South Africa claimed first place overall.
Zimbabwe's team finished in third place, following the TRNC team.
