North Cyprus to participate in Miss Friendship International 2025 in China

The international pageant Miss Friendship International 2025, which unites countries of the world under the slogan of friendship, peace, and mutual understanding, will take place on November 5, 2025, in China. The event, held since 2009 and considered one of the most prestigious in the world, will feature representatives from about 70 countries.
North Cyprus will for the first time compete under the sash “Miss NORTH CYPRUS,” which is already regarded as a significant achievement and a source of national pride.
The contest is held with the official support of Chinese state institutions as part of the “Global Youth Cultural Exchange” program, aimed at promoting Chinese culture and international cooperation.
North Cyprus is represented by Azra Kızılbora — a student at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU), holder of a degree in education, a licensed athlete on the athletics team, and a recipient of a full academic scholarship. She is also the queen of "Miss Kuzey Kıbrıs 2022."
The participation of North Cyprus in such international competitions, where media coverage about the country reaches millions of views worldwide, is of great importance for its cultural and diplomatic promotion.
Azra is currently taking part in the preparatory camp in China and will step on stage on November 5, 2025, in the final of the competition, where she will compete for the title of "Miss Friendship International."
