Meteorologists have extended the storm warning: Weather for January 30
According to the TRNC Department of Meteorology, on January 30, the region remains under the influence of low pressure, as well as very cold and humid air. Strong rains, thunderstorms, and stormy winds will continue today in Northern Cyprus.
According to meteorologists, a storm warning has been issued again in the region, and it will be in effect from 12:00 today until 18:00 on January 31. Particularly heavy rains and storms are expected in the northern areas. Wind gusts will reach 62-74 km/h.
Authorities and citizens are recommended to take precautions against possible natural disasters, such as heavy hail, lightning, floods, falling trees, and the collapse of various structures.
The country also experiences cold weather, with the maximum air temperature reaching only 13-14°C, which is 2-3°C below the seasonal climatic norm.

- North Coast: Kyrenia – 13°C, Lapta – 12°C, Akdeniz - 13°C, Alevkaya - 9°C, Esentepe - 12°C.
- West Coast: Lefke – 12°C, Güzelyurt – 14°C.
- Central Part: Nicosia – 13°C, Ercan – 13°C.
- East Coast: Famagusta – 14°C, Iskele – 13°C.
- Karpas: Yenierenköy – 12°C.
