TRNC Athlete to Compete at European Indoor Athletics Championships in the Netherlands
Renowned TRNC athlete Buse Savaşkan is set to compete at the European Indoor Athletics Championships in the Netherlands. She will be one of eight athletes representing Turkey at the event, which will take place in Apeldoorn from March 6 to 9.
Savaşkan and Alperen Acet will compete in the high jump, while Tuğba Danışmaz and Can Özüpek will take part in the triple jump. Ersu Şaşma will compete in the pole vault, Ertan Özkan and Mustafa Kemal Ay in the 60-meter sprint, and Mikdat Sevler in the 60-meter hurdles.
"We are heading to Europe with an exceptionally talented team. Our athletes train with great dedication and discipline, constantly pushing their limits. I have full confidence that they will achieve outstanding results," said Ahmet Karadağ, President of the Turkish Athletics Federation.
