Students of the Faculty of Communication of the Eastern Mediterranean University visited the KIBRIS media group in Northern Cyprus
On October 29, 2025, students of the Faculty of Communication of the Eastern Mediterranean University, accompanied by lecturer Metin Ersoy, visited the KIBRIS media group in Northern Cyprus as part of an observational visit.
The participants toured the KIBRIS TV studios equipped with modern technology and received information from the channel’s director, Nihan Yücel.
The students asked questions about broadcasting and received answers from studio staff.
They observed the work of the control room and editing departments and studied the organization of technical processes.
The group also visited the newsroom of KIBRIS newspaper, where they met with editorial journalists.
In the newsroom, they were shown the stages of preparing news, the procedure for working with the website, and the process of publishing materials in the newspaper.
The visit was conducted as part of academic practice and aimed to familiarize future communication specialists with media production processes.
