Telephone subscribers warned of mandatory bill payment, otherwise service will be disconnected
The State Telecommunications Department (Telekomünikasyon Dairesi) issued an important warning to subscribers: all telephone bills issued up to July 31, 2025, must be paid no later than September 16, 2025. Subscribers who fail to settle their debts by the deadline will face service restrictions — disconnection of voice, mobile internet, and data access — through an automated accounting system.
An additional measure is foreseen in the case of prolonged debt: subscribers with arrears exceeding 12 unpaid bills dated up to the end of August 2024 will permanently lose calling and internet services — their numbers will be cancelled. This means that access to telecommunications services will be fully terminated, and the subscriber agreement will effectively cease to be valid.
The department recommends that such subscribers immediately contact the nearest accounting office of Telekomünikasyon Dairesi or use partner banks’ services to settle debts on time and avoid disconnection.
Previous announcements from the State Service confirm such practices: for example, at the end of June 2025 subscribers were advised to settle debts dated up to June 30 no later than August 18, and those with 12 or more unpaid bills as of July 2024 were warned of number cancellation. In May and June, under similar conditions, subscribers with debts accumulated by April–May 2024 were also warned: payment by a set deadline, otherwise disconnection and number cancellation.
Recommendations for subscribers:
Check if you have any unpaid telephone bills dated up to July 31, 2025.
If so, pay them no later than September 16, 2025 to avoid automatic service restrictions.
If your debt exceeds 12 months (for example, since August 2024 or earlier), it is crucial to immediately clear your debts through an accounting office or partner banks — otherwise your number may be suspended and cancelled.
