Temperature Begins to Drop: Weather in Northern Cyprus on August 22
According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, on Thursday, August 22, the region will continue to experience low pressure along with hot, humid air. Meteorologists predict partly cloudy skies with no expected precipitation.
The temperature has started to decrease, returning to the seasonal average. The hottest location today is expected to be Ercan, with temperatures reaching up to 38°C, while most other areas will see temperatures between 32-35°C.
The wind will be strong and from the southwest. No storms are anticipated today.
Two weather warnings remain in effect in Northern Cyprus. The risk of natural wildfires has been downgraded to simply high. However, the ultraviolet (UV) radiation level remains very high.
It is advisable not to stay in the sun for more than 10 minutes, especially between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without taking the necessary precautions.

- Eastern Coast: Famagusta – 33°C, İskele – 33°C
- Karpas: Yenierenköy – 33°C
