Air Temperature to Rise Above Normal Again: Weather in Northern Cyprus on August 12
According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, low pressure and hot, humid air will continue to affect the region on Monday, August 12. Northern Cyprus will experience clear to partly cloudy skies with no expected precipitation.
The air temperature is expected to rise 2-3°C above the seasonal average. The hottest weather today is anticipated in Nicosia and Ercan, where temperatures could reach 39-40°C. On the northern coast, temperatures will range from 32-35°C. Winds will be moderate, coming from the southwest, with no storms expected today.
Two weather warnings remain in effect for Northern Cyprus. There is still a very high risk of wildfires, and ultraviolet (UV) radiation levels are also very high.
It's advised not to stay in direct sunlight for more than 10 minutes, especially between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without taking necessary precautions.

- Western Coast: Lefke – 35°C, Güzelyurt – 36°C

- Eastern Coast: Famagusta – 35°C, Iskele – 37°C
- Karpas Peninsula: Yeni Erenköy – 36°C
