Air Temperature Rises Again: Northern Cyprus Weather for August 21
According to the TRNC Meteorology Department, on Wednesday, August 21, the region will continue to be influenced by low pressure and hot, humid air. Clear to partly cloudy skies with no precipitation are expected across Northern Cyprus.
Air temperatures will rise 2-3°C above the seasonal average. The hottest weather today is forecasted for Nicosia, Ercan, and Geçitkale, where temperatures may reach up to 39-40°C. On the northern coast, temperatures will range between 33-36°C.
The wind will be strong and coming from the southwest. No storms are anticipated today.
Two weather warnings remain in effect for Northern Cyprus. The risk of wildfires remains extremely high.
The level of ultraviolet (UV) radiation is also very high.
It is advised not to stay in direct sunlight for more than 10 minutes, especially between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without proper precautions.

- Eastern Coast: Famagusta – 36°C, İskele – 37°C
- Karpas: Yenirenköy – 35°C
