Three Drunk Drivers Cause Two Accidents in Kyrenia and Nicosia
Last Sunday, North Cyprus witnessed two traffic accidents caused by three drunk drivers, occurring in Kyrenia and Nicosia.
According to the police press office, the first accident took place on August 18 at around 4:30 PM on Sheikh Ismet Yilmaz Street in Kyrenia. A 47-year-old driver, reversing his vehicle, collided with a car driven by a 24-year-old man. Police at the scene discovered that both drivers were under the influence of alcohol. Fortunately, no one was injured in the collision. Both drivers are facing legal action.
The second accident happened later that same day at around 8:30 PM on Hassan Hussein Chinko Street in Nicosia. A 35-year-old woman, also intoxicated, crashed into a parked vehicle. No injuries were reported in this incident either. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the drunk driver.
