TRNC Shrouded by Dust Cloud from North Africa
The TRNC Meteorological Department has issued an emergency warning regarding airborne dust pollution, as fine dust particles have been carried into the region from North Africa.
According to meteorological reports, the warning is effective from 12:00 noon today and will remain in place until 12:00 noon on Friday, December 13.
“Dust particles originating from North Africa are expected to cause air pollution in our region. Citizens sensitive to dust are advised to take necessary precautions,” the department stated.
The last time a similar dust warning was issued in the TRNC was at the end of October, when fine particles were also transported to the region from North Africa.
