Second Turkish Airlines Wide-body Aircraft Lands at Ercan Airport
A second wide-body aircraft from Turkish Airlines, a Boeing 777, has landed in Northern Cyprus. The new addition will operate weekly flights between Istanbul and Ercan Airport.
According to a statement from TT Airport Operations, Turkish Airlines has increased its wide-body fleet serving Ercan Airport to two. The Boeing 777 TK 960 arrived from Istanbul at 09:13 today, with the customary water salute to welcome the aircraft.
The new plane has 349 seats: 49 in business class and 300 in economy class. It will operate flights between Istanbul Airport and Ercan every Saturday.
It's worth noting that the first wide-body aircraft of Turkish Airlines, an Airbus A350 with a capacity of 329 passengers, landed at Ercan Airport on November 1, 2023.
