Two new project contracts signed in Alaykoy
On 10 October 2025, the Mayor of Gonyeli-Alaykoy, Hüseyin Amdjaoglu, announced the signing of contracts for two investment projects in Alaykoy, Northern Cyprus.
The projects include an open-air venue for weddings and festivals and the third phase of work on the Alaykoy sports complex. Both tenders were won by Kizil Insaat Ltd., and contracts have been signed accordingly.
The open-air venue project will be funded from the municipality of Gonyeli-Alaykoy’s own resources, with support from the Development and Economic Cooperation Office of the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia (DECO). The third phase of the sports complex will be fully funded by the municipality.
Previously, the sports complex had completed laying the grass field, the irrigation system, lighting work, and construction of a walking path. The third phase includes building stands and installing a rainwater drainage system.
The Mayor thanked the Turkish Embassy in Nicosia and DECO for their support and expressed his wishes for the contractor’s successful work. The new facilities are expected to enhance Alaykoy’s social and sports environment in the near future.
