Worker Falls from About 7 Meters at Alayköy Industrial Area and Hospitalized
On September 11, 2025, around 12:00, an occupational accident occurred at Alayköy Industrial Area: a man lost his balance and fell from a height of approximately 7 meters onto a concrete surface.
Police reported that the injured person — Walid Tarek Momen REYDI (male, 25) — was in a forklift basket painting metal elements of the factory roof when he slipped and fell onto the concrete floor. He was initially taken to Lefkoşa Dr Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital, where first aid was provided, and then transferred to Near East Hospital.
At Near East Hospital, the victim was diagnosed with fractures of the right wrist and fingers; he is under medical supervision. According to the police, the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
For local residents and workers, this means that emergency services and medical institutions responded promptly and ensured the victim’s hospitalization. Official authorities continue to investigate the causes of the fall; additional details will be provided as the investigation progresses.
