Search for 61-year-old Orhan Ersoy continues in Büyükkonuk
Search operations for 61-year-old Orhan Ersoy continue in the Büyükkonuk area with the participation of services and volunteers, it was reported on 13 September 2025.
Under the coordination of the Civil Defence Organization (Sivil Savunma Teşkilatı), coordinated search and inspection activities are being carried out. Volunteer search and rescue organizations are taking part: Nature Search and Rescue Association (Doğa ve Arama Kurtarma, DAAK), Cyprus Search and Rescue Service (Kıbrıs Arama Kurtarma, KARK), Underwater Assault Units (Sualtı Taarruz, SAT) and Turkish Cypriot Search and Rescue Service (Kıbrıs Türk Arama Kurtarma, KTAK).
The police and other volunteers are also supporting the work. Operations are focused on areas where Orhan Ersoy was last seen.
Authorities are asking citizens to report any available information that may help in locating the missing person. It was noted that search and investigative activities are being conducted thoroughly, and the public will be informed of new results.
