A 19-year-old biker seriously injured in a car accident in Nicosia
An accident involving a 19-year-old motorcyclist occurred in Nicosia. The man sustained serious injuries and is in the intensive care unit.
According to the police press service, the accident happened yesterday evening on Bedrettin Demirel Street. A 22-year-old car driver was traveling westbound and failed to yield to oncoming traffic when making a right turn. As a result, the car collided with the motorcycle driven by 19-year-old Sami Sevinç, who was traveling eastbound on Demirel Street.
As a result of the collision, the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and after medical intervention, was placed under observation in the intensive care unit of the Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital in Nicosia.
Police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
