Fake Realtor Arrested in Famagusta
A man posing as a real estate agent has been arrested in Famagusta after attempting to scam a buyer into purchasing an apartment in İskele for £120,000.
According to the police press office, the incident took place on January 7. The 26-year-old suspect falsely claimed to be a real estate agent and offered a client an apartment in a Long Beach residential complex in İskele. However, the sale was being arranged without the knowledge or consent of the actual property owner.
The suspect managed to obtain £2,000 in cash from the buyer as a deposit before his scam was uncovered. He was quickly arrested by the police before he could carry out his plan.
