Lecture on "How to Become a Pilot" Held in Famagusta, Northern Cyprus
Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU) in Northern Cyprus held an event titled "How to Become a Pilot? Information on Piloting" at the Faculty of Tourism on March 16, 2026. Pilot Serdar Altunok took part in the presentation.
The event was organized by the EMU Faculty of Tourism's Civil Aviation Cabin Services Program and attracted a significant number of students. Serdar Altunok discussed the steps to enter the pilot profession, career growth opportunities in the aviation industry, and stages of professional training. In his speech, he shared examples from his own career path and provided practical recommendations for students planning a future in aviation.
Opening the event, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlkay Yorgancı, noted the growth of the aviation industry and the increasing demand for qualified personnel, emphasizing the importance of students meeting with practicing specialists. Cabin Services Program Coordinator Aslı Akı stated that such events contribute to students' professional development and that EMU will continue to organize meetings with industry representatives.
The session concluded with a Q&A segment where students clarified details about training and employment, followed by participants thanking the speaker and taking a commemorative photo.
