Unlicensed Bakery Shut Down in Famagusta
The Famagusta Municipality has taken action against an unlicensed bakery, sealing the premises and imposing a fine equivalent to the minimum wage on its owner.
In a statement issued by the municipal authorities, inspections carried out by the Police Department and the Zoning Division revealed that a bakery operating within the city limits had been conducting business without the required permits.
As a result of these findings, the unnamed establishment was closed down by police officials. The bakery's director was fined an amount equal to the minimum wage.
"The municipality will continue conducting regular and thorough inspections to protect public health, especially in critical areas such as cosmetic services, food production, restaurants, and marketplaces," the statement read.
