Drunk Driver In Famagusta Went Off The Road And Crashed Into A Streetlight
According to the police press office, in the early hours of the day, 27-year-old driver H.O.B., under the influence of alcohol (196 mg), was driving a vehicle with registration number AA 009 T towards Famagusta.
Near the Turunçlu junction, he lost control, left the roadway, and crashed into a curb and a lighting pole on the median strip. The vehicle then entered the opposite lane, left the road again, and came to a stop only in a field after colliding with metal rods.
No one was injured in the accident. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and causing a traffic accident. The investigation is ongoing.
