The Municipality of Famagusta (GMB) is launching the fourth phase of its flexible public transport system. New services begin operating today and will run until 10 May.

According to the municipality, the new phase includes regular services operating five days a week on the following routes:

  • Route 2: Suriçi – Eastern Mediterranean University (EMU)
  • Route 5: Suriçi – Derinya Border Crossing

The project aims to improve accessibility between different parts of the city and encourage greater use of public transport.

At the same time, based on passenger demand and usage intensity, changes have been made to Route 3 (Thursday Market – City Centre). Meanwhile, Route 4 (Thursday Market – Maraş) will continue to operate unchanged along its existing route.

Passengers can check bus arrival times at nearby stops using the timetables published by the municipality. In addition, interactive maps are available on the official GMB website, allowing users to find directions to the nearest stop.

The municipality noted that work is ongoing on technological innovations and further improvements to make public transport more convenient, accessible, and user-focused.
