Suspect arrested in Gönyeli over theft of a credit card left in an ATM
According to the police press service, on 2 January at around 11:00 in Gönyeli, a credit card was left in an ATM after a cash withdrawal and was subsequently stolen by unknown individuals.
During the investigation, it was established that a fuel purchase in the amount of 1,000 Turkish lira was made using the stolen card.
According to available information, the suspect is L.Z. (male, 53). He was identified and detained while entering the country through Ercan Airport. A procedural decision has been taken in respect of the detainee.
The investigation into the case is ongoing, with investigative actions underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident and the persons involved.
