Northern Cyprus will host a series of military exercises under the name Notam Esas, which will involve live-fire drills. Eight areas in the Kyrenia (Girne) district have been declared off-limits during the operation.
The announcement was made by Kyrenia District Governor Reyin Gürler, who stated that the exercises will take place from May 20 to 23. The drills will be conducted by military units across the following regions: Bahçeli, Karaağaç, Esentepe, Beşparmak, Arapköy, Çatalköy, Ozanköy, and Karakum.
To ensure public safety and prevent any damage to property, these locations have been officially marked as restricted zones for the duration of the exercise. Entry into these areas will be strictly prohibited while the live-fire activities are underway.
