GÜZ-MEK Vocational Training Center to Open in Güzelyurt

In Güzelyurt, after major renovations, the former municipal kindergarten building has opened as the GÜZ-MEK Vocational Training Center. The project is primarily aimed at supporting women — acquiring a profession, engaging in production, and providing additional income for families.
The center will offer classes in:
- sewing and handicrafts,
- making knitted and textile toys,
- jewelry design,
- ceramics,
- computer literacy and other fields.
The opening ceremony is expected to be attended by the Mayor of Manisa, Besim Dutlulu. All equipment and materials for the center were provided by the Manisa Municipality as part of the intercity cooperation.
The Mayor of Güzelyurt, Mahmut Özçınar, noted that GÜZ-MEK will become an important social and economic project for the region and will expand women's participation in the city’s public and work life.
