In Iskele, a 49-year-old man arrested on suspicion of sexually abusing his daughter
A serious criminal offense has been uncovered in Iskele: a 49-year-old resident of Famagusta has been detained on suspicion of repeated sexual abuse of his 21-year-old daughter.
According to police, the alleged crimes were committed between October 2025 and early February 2026 in a rented apartment in Iskele. The victim reported the incidents to law enforcement on February 5 with the assistance of acquaintances and a lawyer.
The suspect was declared wanted and was arrested on the evening of February 6 in Famagusta by criminal police officers. According to investigators, the man was preparing to leave the country.
During questioning, the suspect gave a statement and was brought before a court, where police requested his detention. The court ordered that the man be held in custody for three days. The investigation is ongoing.
