In Iskele, the Friday market will open tomorrow in the Covered Market
The Iskele Municipality announced that the Iskele Municipality Covered Market, whose official opening is scheduled for February, will begin operating as early as tomorrow, January 30, to allow traders to organize their stalls. The event will take place on the usual market day — Friday.
The Friday market in Iskele in Northern Cyprus will be held tomorrow in the new covered facility. Municipal representatives said the move aims to ensure order and oversight of market operations at the new location ahead of the official opening.
According to the municipality, the Covered Market will provide regulated trading spaces and supervision to ensure orderly commerce. For residents, this means the familiar market will continue to operate, but in a more organized environment, while traders will have the opportunity to set up their stalls in advance.
The official ceremonial opening of the Covered Market remains scheduled for February. Until then, the market will operate in the new premises under the rules established by the municipality.
