Youths Arrested in Iskele After Attempting to Flee Police with Drugs
An incident reminiscent of an action movie took place in the Iskele district. During an evening patrol, traffic police attempted to stop a vehicle for inspection, but the driver ignored the signal and tried to flee.
During the chase, a pack of cigarettes was thrown from the car. A short time later, the vehicle was intercepted with the help of another police unit. S.D. was at the wheel, with M.Ç. in the passenger seat.
Upon inspecting the discarded cigarette pack, officers found approximately 1 gram of marijuana wrapped in foil. The suspects admitted their involvement.
Both detainees were brought before a court, which ordered them to remain in custody for three days while the investigation continues.
